De’Longhi hosts major art auction in support of Macmillan This year De’Longhi, leader in premium bean-to-cup coffee machines, has partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support to host the first ever Macmillan De’Longhi Coffee Art Auction.
Taking place on the 8th November, the prestigious event in aid of Macmillan, is being held at The Arts Club, Mayfair, and is sure to attract a ‘who’s who’ of the art world.
The auction will feature a series of unique coffee inspired art works from both established and up and coming artists and designers. The proceeds of the auction will go to Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning total, which this year is hoping to raise a staggering £6.7million to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Nigel Wainwright, MD, De'Longhi UK said: "Macmillan touches the lives of so many people at a time when they desperately need support; we are privileged to be able to contribute to this amazing work through this first Macmillan De'Longhi Coffee Art Auction. By bringing together our passion for style and design along with the same passion in some of Britain’s leading artists we will work hard to raise as much money for Macmillan as possible."
The event is already attracting a varied and celebrated group of artists with donated works include paintings, photographs, and sculptures.
Ian Daniels, Senior Development Manager for Corporate Partnerships at Macmillan said: “Working with De'Longhi to create this exciting art auction has given us a fantastic opportunity to continue to increase Macmillan's awareness, as a source of support and a force for change. We hope to raise a significant amount to help improve the lives of the 1.2 million people living with cancer in the UK.”
This year’s Macmillan De’Longhi Coffee Art auction aims to create a huge stir, supporting and raising awareness for British artists while maximising donations for Macmillan.
The artworks will be on show at The Arts Club on Dover Street in Mayfair from 6th-8th November, with the final auction held on the evening of 8th November.
